We offer a diverse range of international and high-quality motorcycling trips, training courses and events, all organised by certified BMW Motorrad partners. Whether you are looking for an off-road adventure, want to experience laps of a racetrack on the latest BMW Motorrad, or would like to rent a BMW Motorrad for your next outing: you’re guaranteed to find what you’re looking for at FUEL FOR LIFE. Rental process
Proceed as follows to rent a BMW Motorrad with Rent A Ride:
- Visit fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/en/rental.html
- Select one or several models, your preferred dates, the country and city in which you wish to rent, and then click on "SEARCH".
- A list of all the available BMW Motorrad motorcycles will appear for your preferred dates.
- If you click on the "SHOW ON MAP" button at the top, you can see on the map where the available Rent A Ride rental partners are located.
- Click on your preferred motorcycle and select the times between which you would like to collect the motorcycle and return it, and then click on "RESERVE".
- Then enter your personal details and click on "CONTINUE".
- Check that all your details are correct on the review page. If everything is correct, accept the T&Cs and click on "RESERVE NOW".
- You will then receive a confirmation email for your booking.
You can look for A2 motorcycles by selecting motorcycles highlighted as "A2" when selecting the models.
The available extras depend on the Rent A Ride rental partner. If Rent A Ride rental partners offer helmets, motorcycle gear of accessories, you will see this in the second stage of the booking (once you have selected a motorcycle and pressed "CONTINUE").
If you are unsure, you can also contact your Rent A Ride rental partner directly. You will find the contact details of the BMW Motorrad rental partner by clicking on the small "i" button alongside the name of the Rent A Ride rental partner.
You need to book each motorcycle separately if you wish to rent more than one motorcycle. Alternatively, you can also contact the Rent A Ride rental partner directly from whom you are renting the motorcycles. They can then organise the booking for you and clarify any other questions and details at the same time.
Generally, Rent A Ride rental partners do not offer a delivery service on our website. However, please contact your Rent A Ride rental partners directly to clarify whether delivery is possible.
Please visit fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/en/rental.html to see all the offers available from our rental partners. You can select the motorcycle, dates and town or city in which you would like to rent there. There are over 300 Rent A Ride rental partners in 28 countries to choose from.
You'll receive a suggested price, and some rental partners also offer the option of adding rider gear, motorcycling accessories and insurance cover.
Booking information
No, your enquiry does not constitute a binding booking. Our partner will get in touch with you with additional details and a quotation as soon as you have sent your booking enquiry to them for a FUEL FOR LIFE training course or trip. The booking only becomes binding between you and our partner once you accept this quotation. You are not bound by the enquiry up to that point.
Simply email our organising partner directly. You will find the partner's contact details on the Details page of the Experience under "To whom do I direct questions?" point.
Visit our website fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/en/rental.html to see which motorcycles are available. You can select the motorcycle, dates and town or city in which you would like to rent there. You will then receive a list of all the motorcycles available for your chosen period from your selected Rent A Ride rental partner.
The option to purchase additional kilometre packages at a discounted price applies to the entire rental period. The additional kilometres will be calculated on the final bill at the price stated on the website. The charges will vary according to the rental partner organising the rental.
The deposit and type of deposit varies according to the rental partner. You will find information on this during the booking process: Select your preferred Rent A Ride rental partner – the opening times and payment options are displayed by clicking on the "i" symbol alongside their name. Apart from the price of your selected motorcycle, there is another "i" symbol which includes detailed information on additional services, such as insurance cover.
Your selected Rent A Ride rental partner's T&Cs will also include information on the deposit.
You need a valid motorcyclist's licence to rent a motorcycle. Please note that each individual Rent A Ride rental partner will have different requirements relating to the motorcyclist's licence and will specify a minimum number of practical riding years depending on the model of motorcycle. You will be notified accordingly during the booking process if you do not meet the requirements. If in doubt, you can also contact your Rent A Ride rental partner directly.
The rental price is determined by the Rent A Ride rental partner, which is why we recommend booking at fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/en/rental.html. You can select your preferred dates and motorcycle there, and also find a Rent A Ride rental partner local to you. As you work your way through the booking process, a final overview and summary of costs will be displayed – just before you complete your booking.
Yes, you can arrange the collection and return times during the booking process. If you have specific requests, we would recommend contacting your selected Rent A Ride rental partner directly to clarify the details.
You cannot arrange a one-way rental on our Rent A Ride platform, and so you will need to return your motorcycle to the rental partner from whom you rented it.
The maximum rental period at Rent A Ride is 4 weeks. Please contact your Rent A Ride rental partner to obtain a personalised quote.
The rental price is exclusively determined by the Rent A Ride rental partner, which is why we recommend comparing prices at fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/en/rental.html. Select your preferred dates and motorcycle, plus the town or city in which you would like to rent it. As you work your way through the booking process, a final overview and summary of costs will be displayed – just before you complete your booking.
You can book a motorcycle on behalf of the rider. Please check on the website whether the motorcycle is available from our Rent A Ride rental partner on this date, and then enter the personal details of the person to whom you wish to give this gift in the relevant fields. You can also contact your Rent A Ride rental partner directly to book the motorcycle or request a gift voucher.

You can easily find the information using the search function under "Rental". Simply enter your preferred location in the search field and your requested motorcycle model will be displayed.
You will find the contact details of the Rent A Ride rental partner by clicking on the small "i" button alongside the name of the Rent A Ride rental partner.
The collection and return location is the location of the Rent A Ride rental partner from whom you have rented the motorcycle. You will find the address in the Contact Details for the rental partner on the FUEL FOR LIFE website or in the confirmation email for your booking.

Insurance and liability
Insurance cover is provided by the Rent A Ride rental partner. You can find details of the insurance cover in the General Terms and Conditions (at the end of the booking process there is a link on the final review page before finalising the booking). If you wish, you can purchase kilometre packages at a discounted rate for the additional kilometres, which Rent A Ride rental partners generally offer customers. Otherwise, the surcharge per kilometre is stated on the booking overview page.

When you have selected your Experience, don't worry if your country is not listed among the available countries – it does not mean that you are automatically excluded from this offer. Simply contact our partner directly. You will find their contact details on the Details page of the Experience under "To whom do I direct questions?". The partner will check all the options to arrange for you to take part in the Experience.

Changes and cancellations
The cancellation terms and conditions are set independently by each Rent A Ride rental partner and can be viewed under "WHAT'S INCLUDED?" at checkout.
You will need to contact the Rent A Ride rental partner with who you have booked the motorcycle to change or cancel a booking for a motorcycle rental. You will find the contact details in your booking confirmation.
The cancellation and alteration terms and conditions for trips or training courses vary according to the partner with whom you have booked the Experience. You can find more exact information on the partner's website. We recommend clarifying these details with your partner at the booking stage to avoid uncertainty. A relevant text field can be found at checkout.
Contract details
You will find information on the payment methods during the booking process: Select your preferred Rent A Ride rental partner – the payment options are displayed by clicking on the "i" symbol alongside their name.
Of course, you can use your own accessories. It's only important that your equipment meets current safety standards to ensure that you feel safe at all times.
You can contact your Rent A Ride rental partner should you have an accident or should your motorcycle experience technical problems. They will do their best to ensure that you can safely continue your journey or collect both you and the motorcycle. Any damage will naturally be expertly assessed by your BMW Motorrad rental partner. You can alter the level of insurance cover at the booking stage with many Rent A Ride rental partners.
International rental
You can rent your motorcycle internationally from over 300 BMW Motorrad rental partners. Click on fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/en/rental.html to access a map on which all the countries at highlighted. Clicking on the respective country takes you directly to the Experience Finder using which you can select your chosen BMW Motorrad and planned rental period.
We recommend checking the validity of your motorcyclist's licence or taking an international motorcyclist's licence with you when you are renting abroad. We also recommend reading up on local road traffic regulations, including maximum speed limits, both in town and in rural areas. Also check your Rent A Ride rental partner's T&Cs for accident cover (personal protection, material damage). If your tour crosses national borders, speak to your Rent A Ride rental partner about any permits required.
