Accessibility statement

BMW AG (henceforth “BMW”) has designed its website to be accessible in accordance with the terms of the German Federal government’s Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz [German Accessibility Improvement Act] (BFSG). This accessibility statement applies to the content available at www.rentaride.bmw-motorrad.com.

In particular, the BFSG obligates service providers to design the services and products available as part of e-commerce transactions in a way that is accessible, so that people with disabilities can access and use such services and products with the ease that non-disabled users customarily would, without any particular impediment and without the need for third-party assistance. These requirements are outlined by the Verordnung zum Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSGV), whereby, in principle, the state of technology must be considered. In addition to the technical requirements, the legislation also obligates service providers to make certain information available in an accessible format.

General description of the service and descriptions and explanations to clarify how the service will be performed

On its website, BMW offers various services as part of e-commerce transactions (henceforth “services”) that allow customers to purchase products and services online. The available services will be described in the following.

Any website content that is not a component of the services described may not (yet) be fully accessible.

Rentals

Using the Rent A Ride Experience Finder, customers can rent a motorcycle from their desired model series from a registered Rent A Ride partner. To this end, customers must provide their personal data and the desired date and time of the rental and select the BMW Motorrad Rent A Ride partner who will provide the rental services.
The availability of the models may vary depending on the Rent A Ride partner.

Meeting accessibility requirements

BMW AG strives to make their website accessible in numerous different ways and prepare it for the use of assistive technologies. As such, the technical standards of the European EN 301 549 standard and the success criteria for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 referenced therein have been fulfilled to the compliance levels A and AA.

On the relevant subsites of the website, the required information is made available in an accessible way in accordance with the BFSG.
