Itinerary
- Day 1 – Day 3
- Day 4 – Day 8
- Day 9 – Day 13
Upon arrival, our partner will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel so that you can check in and freshen up. After a bite to eat, you and your group will make your way straight to Table Mountain.
You will ride southward along the western side of the Cape Peninsula and see the famous Chapman's Peak Drive for yourself. Your destination is the spectacular Cape of Good Hope, as well as Cape Point. After lunch, you will continue along the coast towards the Stellenbosch Winelands, where you can enjoy the finest wines South Africa has to offer. The perfect end to an eventful day.
On the third day, you will ride from the Karoo to the Robertson Wine Route. You'll head inland via the Bainskloof Pass and Mitchell's Pass towards Ceres. You'll get a taste of the semi-arid Karoo before turning off into the fertile Koo Valley, which is located to the east of the Robertson Wine Route.
The famous Route 62 awaits you. This world-renowned route through a stunning landscape also allows you to explore the Breede River Wine Valley. After an exhilarating ride across the Tradouw Pass, you will join Route 62 and make your way to the breathtaking canyon at Seweweekspoort.
On the fifth day, you will continue from the Swartberg Mountains to the Garden Route, and to the ostrich capital of South Africa. You will spend most of the day riding amidst the sandstone formations of the Swartberg Mountains. Firstly, you will ride once again through the canyon at Seweweekspoort, then you will cross the Swartberg Pass to the north and continue further south via Meiringspoort.
The ride to the coast along Robinson's Pass will take you from the semi-arid Little Karoo region to the Garden Route, which runs through a lush, green area of South Africa. For the rest of the day, you will follow the Indian Ocean coast to reach a hidden gem of the Tsitsikamma region. A visit to a traditional ostrich farm will be the icing on the cake.
On the eighth day, you will ride from Camdeboo back to Cape Town via the Garden Route. This will be a relatively short ride, and you will reach your destination by lunchtime. Then, you can get yourself ready for your safari in the afternoon, and treat yourself to a little break to reflect on the experiences you've enjoyed so far.
The open plains of Camdeboo await you! You will ride inland with your group, on your way to the fourth-oldest city in South Africa. You will leave the Karoo region once again and ride through the open plains via Outeniqua Pass, towards the Garden Route. You will spend the night in the coastal town of Wilderness.
On the eleventh day, you will ride to the southernmost point of Africa, and you will have the opportunity to take a ride on a gravel road for a more intense adventure. Here, you will spend the night right on the Indian Ocean.
The next day you continue your tour with a stop after lunch in Hermanus, a town famous for its whale watching. The journey continues along a coastal road on the eastern side of False Bay towards Cape Town. This journey follows the coast, and will probably be your favourite leg of the whole tour.
Depending on when your flight departs, you may also have time to visit the V&A Waterfront and do some shopping. Our partner will arrange a transfer to the airport for you.
The safari tour is the absolute highlight, and one that our guests will find unforgettable.
